Clarisse believes that educating and empowering communities is the thriving pivot to sustainable development. With over 10 years of experience in the non-profit and social enterprise sectors, Clarisse is passionate about advancing gender equality, education, socio-economic development, especially for women, and technology; all geared towards building thriving communities. In her philanthropy experience, Clarisse believes that for funders to succeed, they must listen and trust their grantees to create solutions relevant to their communities while acting as co-creators, coaches and connectors based on learnings and networks from multiple contexts, leading to sustainable community impact.

Clarisse is fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda as well as basic Swahili and Kirundi. She holds a Bachelor in Interpreting and Translation with Honors from the National University of Rwanda.
