Melizsa is a seasoned professional, with extensive experience in partnership building, business development, organizational turnaround and strategic planning. She is passionate about positioning impactful organizations for success, and has built her expertise while working within the INGO, intergovernmental, philanthropic and NGO spaces.
Thematically, Melizsa brings diverse knowledge of development priorities from across sectors. This includes health, education, governance, youth development, women’s advancement, and data for development – among other areas.
Melizsa has developed and implemented growth strategies for numerous organizations, and has unlocked sizable funding from a range of bilateral, multilateral and philanthropic funders.
She is an experienced board member for a range of organizations driving change in priority sectors, while promoting equity in international development. Melizsa holds a BA in Politics and International Relations from the University of Sheffield, and an MA in Law, Globalization, and Development from the University of London (SOAS).
