Shoshana Grossman-Crist is a bilingual development professional bringing 13 years of international and domestic leadership, field and communications experience to strengthen organizations’ vitality and social impact.

She began her career coordinating, communicating on and fundraising for health, education and microfinance programs and evaluations across Latin America and in East Africa and the United States. Having spent more than 8 years within these not-for-profit organizations, she understands first-hand the reality that organizations face daily. Later, working for six years with a multilateral donor agency and then an international fast-moving consumer goods company, she deeply appreciates what donors are looking for.

Since then, as a consultant, she has designed and launched fundraising strategies, communications and knowledge management strategies, as well as led advancement work for diverse organizations.

Shoshana holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s in American Studies and Public Health from Tufts University. She is on the board of the iLab Foundation. Publications include serving as developmental editor for Breaking the Poverty Cycle (Pick and Sirkin, Oxford University Press, 2010). She has lived in Costa Rica, Argentina, Ecuador, Kenya, New York City and Washington DC and currently lives between Mexico City and Vermont.
