Zara Bott-Goins has nearly 20 years of experience supporting mission-driven organizations across the globe. She has expertise in nonprofit advancement, operations, strategy, and storytelling that is rooted in a deep commitment for sustainability and innovation. Zara has worked with a wide range of organizations, internationally and domestically, including the U.S. Peace Corps, American Red Cross, and Djembe Communications, among others. She believes the future of social impact engagement requires a fierce focus on the decolonization of philanthropy, proximate leadership, and learning from local wisdom.

Zara enjoys exploring the edges of things and finding new ways to contribute to the collective. She holds a BA in Political Science and Peace Studies from Southern Illinois University, an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the American Graduate School of Paris, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School.
