Superpower: Creative thinking and curiosity to conduct research that helps nonprofits make impactful change and address the world’s most pressing problems

Amy uses her extensive partnership development experience to connect individuals and funders to nonprofit missions. She creates strategies and content based on sound research for organizations seeking to make a difference. Her focus areas are cause marketing, corporate social responsibility, grant writing and outreach. Amy served as Director of Marketing & Communications for a healthcare nonprofit and empathizes with those who are stuck on the “hamster wheel” of funding in order to continue their important work. She believes that good research is the foundation on which deeper funding relationships can be created. In her long career of helping nonprofits, Amy has held the position of Account Manager for a cause marketing agency and most recently, the role of Research Associate for a social impact agency. She has always chosen to work for a cause, not for applause.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado with a major in English. She roots for the underdog and is inspired by young changemakers and random acts of kindness. Her favorite quote is from Mother Theresa: “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

Amy lives with her contractor husband, who is always remodeling their house, and their Golden Retriever, Lancelot, a rescue dog from the streets of Istanbul. After recently moving to the small mountain town of Payson, Arizona, Amy joined the Payson Pro Rodeo Committee to help give back to her new community. While living in Georgia, she volunteered at Canine Assistance, Big Canoe Animal Rescue and Adopt A Golden Atlanta. Amy believes we can all make a difference in the world, even in small ways, and asks that everyone consider volunteering their time and talents to the nonprofit closest to their heart.
